Community Connect

This Sunday,( Feb. 23) and next Sunday (Mar. 1) there will be brief informational and Q&A sessions after each worship service in the Sanctuary (all sessions will present the same information) with an update on the recent revision to the budget and our current need for additional Deacons. All middle hour classes and LifeGroups will be held as usual – the info sessions will be brief.

Our next Starting Point will be Sun., Mar. 8 from 12:30 to 4 pm. This is a great place to learn more about the Christian faith, the EPC and membership at Cornerstone. Sign up by emailing donny@csgreeley.org

Women’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study
See How Jesus Fully Satisfies The Cry Of Your Heart in “Finding I Am” by Lysa Terkeurst!
Join us on the streets of Israel to explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the gospel of John. Tuesday Women’s Bible Study, 9-11am, March 10-May 5th. Books will be available on 3/10 for $15.

Emotionally Healthy Discipleship course on Emotionally Healthy Spirituality begins on Tuesday, March 10th. This course will run from 9-11am Tuesdays for eight weeks. Childcare will be provided. Please Sign up here by March 8. Cost is $25.

Dain Strobel of Go Ministries is taking a construction/evangelism team to Kenya/Uganda to do some building for the orphanage he has served there. The dates are April 19th-May 3rd. Any men interested in joining Dain and the team (including his dad, Butch) please call 720-755-8738.

Immigrants & Refugees: Ever wonder what the Bible says about immigrants and refugees? Join us on Thursday evening, March 12 @ 7pm at The Town Church (1091 10th Ave. 80631) to hear World Relief’s US Director for Church Mobilization speak on “Fear, Facts, and Faith” to explore what the Church is being invited into. Matt will clearly and biblically challenge us with Jesus’ teaching and how it directs us as individuals and the Church in responding to this world crisis that impacts over 70 million people worldwide. Ash Wednesday services will be February 26th at 6:30pm.
Join us as we mark the beginning of the Lenten season together with a time of worship, reflection, and imposition of ashes.

Join us for our Dessert Theater Pops Concert Fundraiser for the Choir trip to Carnegie Hall in May.- limited number of tickets @ $20 ea. available today in the Atrium.
Music includes Disney, The Old West, and songs of New York.

“A Little Dessert Music” February 29th at 7pm
International Musicians in Concert will be at Fellowship Church 2376 47th Ave on Feb. 29th at 7pm and will feature classical, jazz, ethnic and popular music. Sponsored by International Students, Inc. and Fellowship Church. Admission and dessert are free.

Grades 6-12 |Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45am.

Children

Children’s Church (during services): Every month, we focus on one story and tell it in different ways. We spend time listening to God and responding to the story we’ve heard. February’s story is the healing of the paralyzed man (Mark 2:1-12). If you’re ages 3-3rd grade, we’d love for you to join us!

Dwell (9:45-10:45): All children ages 3-5th grade are invited to join us for Dwell, our Sunday school classes this school year. Here’s what we’re learning this week in each age group:

Preschool (ages 3-5): Anna Waits (Luke 2:36-38)
K-1st: A Man Who Can’t Walk Learns about Jesus (Mark 5:17-26)
2nd-3rd: The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)
4th-5th: Stephen’s Story (Acts 6; 7:51-8:4)

Lightseekers will be having a potluck lunch on Friday, February 21st in the Celebration Center. Please bring table service and a dish to share. The Lightseekers will also be going to “Pops and Pasta” at the Greeley Rec Center on Saturday, Feb 29th, at 1pm. Contact Mary Fagerberg at 970-353-1743 with questions.

We’re excited to invite you to this fun time of music, laughter, and fellowship.
Presented in a dessert-theater style, you won’t want to miss it. Tickets will go on sale next Sunday, Feb. 16, after each service. Tickets are $20.00 each.
