  • Those who are attending Stephen Ministries coffees as they prayerfully discern becoming a Stephen Minister.

Genesis High Tea – Tickets are now available for the High Tea fundraiser for Genesis Project of Northern Colorado, a home for single moms and their children. The tea is being held at Cornerstone on Saturday, May 4th at 11:30 am. Adult tickets are $35 and children (12 and under) are $25. Gluten-free tickets are available. The event includes lunch, tea, guest speaker Gail Holmes, ministry updates on the Genesis Project from the Executive Director, and a silent auction. Tickets can be purchased via the Genesis Project website HomeForSingleMoms.org.

ReNew VBS Volunteers Needed – ages 6th grade & up
Help directly with kids or behind the scenes. Help before or during the week of VBS, June 10-14. If you’re going into 6th grade or older, you can volunteer! Childcare for ages 3 and under is provided for all ReNew volunteers during VBS week. Click here to volunteer.

Fellowship Lunch: Join us May 9th at noon in the Celebration Center. Cathy Lehman will show her slides of Ireland, Nate Snyder will be singing, and Rosie will fix the lunch! You don’t want to miss this last lunch before our break; we will resume in October! Please register at the Welcome Center or call the church office (352-3030).

Celebrating Sue Pfund- We join with Sue in announcing her retirement after serving Cornerstone as organist for 47+ years!! What an accomplishment! Sue’s last Sunday as our organist will be May 12. You are invited to a reception honoring her on May 19 between worship services. If you would like to give a monetary gift to celebrate Sue’s years of service, please mark your gift with “Sue” in the memo line. This account will be open until May 12.

Missions

Habitat Devotional Calendars are completed. You can turn in your contributions at the Welcome Desk or mail them directly to Habitat with “2019 Faith Build” on the memo line. May 5th will be the last day to contribute through Cornerstone.

Plywood for the 2019 Faith Build is in the Atrium. Please write a blessing for this year’s family. This is very meaningful to the families.

Thank you so much for your contributions of tennis shoes and bottled water for Street Lights of Mercy Ministry.

Our combined choirs, adult, youth and children, will be leading worship featuring a number of African-American Spirituals. Invite a friend to join us that day.

Grades 6-12 | Sundays 9:45-10:45a | Group’s LIVE | Youth Center

Grades 9-12 |Youth Group tonight from 5-7 pm! We will be hearing from the wise old seniors as they reflect on their younger years! Next week is the last High School Youth Group!

Sunday school classes: Classes are available for our children ages Preschool to 5th grade during middle hour every week.

Children’s Church: During the service this month, we will be hearing the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection. We’ll be wondering, exploring, and responding to God together around this important story.

You’re invited to ReNew from June 10-14: this year’s VBS!
You’re invited to join us for ReNew – a summer kids’ experience to learn more about Jesus and who God created them to be. We’ll learn how God joins with kids to change the world and share God’s love! We’ll be spending lots of time playing, singing, exploring, and being outside, all while learning about the Parable of the Sower and how it helps us understand life with God. Who: All potty-trained 3-year-olds to rising 5th graders
When: June 10-14, 9am-12pm

Grades 9-12 |NO Youth Group on April 21st. We will continue youth group next week April 28th when we will have the seniors impart their wisdom of the past 4 years to us.
